Chaldean and Middle Eastern Social Services (CMSS)
is a 501c3 non-profit agency. The mission CMSS is to help
communities maximize their potential toward a better way of
life, as well as to facilitate assimilation and educate
Chaldeans and Middle-Easterners into American society by
providing them with the tools and programs necessary for
success. CMSS is committed to
identifying or generating resources to help these refugee and
immigrant families become self-sufficient and productive
members of their communities. Services are provided in a
culturally-sensitive and linguistically-appropriate manner
that respects each individual's dignity and gives them the
tools to achieve full integration.
CMSS strongly believes that the general welfare
of the community can best be served by enhancing awareness of
the health, educational, and social needs. CMSS services over
15,000 individuals a year through our front line, 500 children
through CMSS school based programs, and an additional 1,000
through our Mental Health programs. Our last Christmas toy
drive give away event, CMSS distributed over 4,000 toys and
clothes in less than three hours to refugee and orphan
children.
CMSS is Currently opening it first Community
Health Clinic 2012 to provide outpatient medical care to all
in need regardless of ethnicity, race, color, gender or race.
The clinic will provide medical assistance to Medical and HMO
patients as well as the uninsured. It is expected to reach
capacity within six months of opening. It is estimated that
over 50,000 individual medical services will be provided in
its first year of opening. Therefore, CMSS is asking
individuals and organizations to assist in launching the
clinic. 100% of all funds will be utilized for initial startup
expenses such as purchasing diagnostic equipment, furniture
and medical supplies.
All donors will be recognized by CMSS for their
donations at the Clinic Open House and CMSS 5th
annual GALA.
There is no greater reward than to make a
fundamental difference in someone else’s life.
